Modern Garden Art and Peas

Today I was mostly growing peas on Plot 3. I created two mini wigwams using 3-4 bamboo canes cut in half (approx 2m) and held them in place with a cane holder. Three peas were sown at the bottom of each cane.

Varieties of Pea used were Hurst Green Shaft and Calibre (petit pois).

The Bean wigwam however looks more like a piece of modern garden art as I have pushed into the ground the 10 canes, 5 on left, 5 on the right equally spaced. Then I spent ages trying to find some string to tie them together and gave up in the end. So for one night only I have a piece of modern garden art on my plot! I will get some string tomorrow and put it right.

I have also started off some Ferrari Dwarf Beans and White Lady and Red Rum Runner Beans in my root trainers ready for planting in Plot 3 hopefully the end of May.
