Special Spinach
Week 10 since I sowed my first seeds and I have been harvesting my baby spinach (Variety – Tirza) for the past few weeks now, it is brilliant I can pull a few leaves off and go back a couple of days later to find more leaves growing, a sort of cut and come again spinach.

I am very impressed by this variety of spinach and the taste is nothing like supermarket spinach which has gone soggy in the prepackaged bag. The taste is so fresh and flavoursome and so quick and easy to add to a salad or a meal with it being at the bottom of the garden. I have to keep an eye out for the baby slugs as they seem to like it to!

Scrummy Strawberries
The 6 strawberry plants from B&Q were a good investment, I have been harvesting at least 5 strawberries a day from the plants for the past week. Its lovely to have some freshly picked strawberries on my museli at breakfast time. They are also quite handy as a quick snack whilst i’m weeding my veggy plot, food on the go, just what I like. The strawberry harvest has arrived just in time for Wimbledon.
