June Vegetable Plot Update with Photos

It’s the end of the month again and time for my vegetable plot update. Here’s whats been happening in my vegetable raised beds in June. If you would like to view the photos from May to see how much growth has occurred in one month, click Raised Vegetable Garden – Photo Update 23.05.09.
Flowering Vegetables
A number of vegetables have been flowering this month including:
- Maincrop Potato (Cara) with the creamy white outer and bright yellow inner petals.
- Dwarf French Beans (Maxi and Major) light mauve delicate flowers above the dark leaves.
- Mange Tout (Weggisser) stunning crimson and pastel pink petals.
- Tomato (Totem F1) with tiny yellow flowers quickly turning into bountiful fruits.
Vegetables Sowed or Planted in June:
- Swede (Helenor) in Plot 2 next to the carrots,
- Runner Beans (Scarlet Emperor and White Embargo) in pots to replace the broad beans,
- Leeks (Pandora and Bandit) planted out after harvesting the onions,
- Herbs sown in the Windowsill Challenge.
Vegetables Harvested in June:
- Onions (Red Cross),
- Radishes (Scarlet Globe),
- Loose Leaf Lettuce in the mini greenhouse,
- Loose Leaf lettuce on the office windowsill,
- Two rogue Lettuces in amongst the carrots,
- Broad Beans (Super Aquadulce),
