8 Reasons Why You Should Grow Your Own Onions

- They are one of the easiest vegetables to grow,
- Onions can be stored for long term use,
- They only need a small space to grow in, so good for raised beds or large pots,
- They grow in most soils,
- They are very useful in the kitchen for base for casseroles, stews or soups,
- There is an onion size and flavour for everyone, also try growing shallots or spring onions,
- If you are planting sets, there are not many pests and diseases to hinder your growing.
