September Vegetable Plot Review with Photos
Posted on 27. Sep, 2009 by Tracey in My Veg Plot
September has been a quite laid back month for me, watching my late august sowings emerge quite strongly with the warm sunshine. And this is the third month now that the carrots are still being harvested! which is brilliant. I even pulled out a white carrot which was very odd.
Unfortunately my runner beans plants were only producing shriveled up beans so I pulled out the plants to make room for some overwintering peas which I’ll sow in mid November. If I’m quick I may get a quick crop of Pak Choi in there which are ready in 6 weeks.
Here’s some progress photos of my lovely rows of winter vegetable seedlings and other overwinter veg:-
- 3. Winter Veg
- 2. Leek & More Carrots
- 1. Pak Choi, Spring Cabbage
- Mustard Greens
- Winter Veg Rows
- Salad Endive
- Winter Leeks
- More Carrots
- Florence Fennel
