November Veg Plot Update – Leeks, Fennel, Onions, Broad Beans & Pak Choi
Posted on 28. Nov, 2009 by Tracey in Veg Plot
November has been chilly, windy and rainy, this is the first real chance thanks to the British weather I have had since the 1st of the month when my Broad Beans, Peas, Onions and Shallots were planted, to get outside and check my plot. My vegetable plot update is a good opportunity to see how well my autumn planting vegetables have grown in the last 4 weeks.
The weather doesn’t seem to have affected my vegetables, in fact my greens (Pak Choi and Endive) in the winter vegetable plot have shot up. Also as I have my giant cloches, my broad beans are not as wind swept and leaning over as usual, they are upright and going for the sky! The best thing about seeing them growing well, is in a few months time they’ll be on my dinner plate.
So let see how everything is growing… Please click on the photos to enlarge them.
