Sowing French Bean Seeds in Root-Trainers
Posted on 03. Jun, 2010 by Tracey in How to Grow Veg
The best way I’ve found to grow Dwarf French, Climbing and Runner Beans are Root-Trainers.
What are Root-Trainers?
Root Trainers are deep plastic ridged cells which are excellent for sowing vegetables with a long root run or those that do not like disturbance to their roots when transplanting them to pots or raised bed.
What vegetables can I grow in Root Trainers?
You can grow anything in them but they are particularly very good for french, climbing, dwarf and runner beans, peas, leeks and onions grown from seed.
French Beans I’m Growing This Year are:
- Gauk from The Heritage Seed Library (Garden Organic),
- Minidor Yellow from The Real Seed Catalogue.
