Showcasing the very best of the vegetable varieties I’m growing this year from Beetroot ‘Moneta’ to Mange Tout ‘Golden Sweet’ in my Vegetable Variety Directory.

These photo slideshows are worth watching if you are trying to find new and exciting vegetable varieties to grow for next year.

  1. Beetroot ‘Moneta’ – Striking red veined leaves and dark purple beets – Sow Feb to July.
  2. Broad Bean ‘Aquadulce Claudia’ – Very tall, will long pods and a RHS Garden Merit Award – Sow Oct to Nov (for June Harvest) or Feb to May (for July harvest).
  3. Broad Beans ‘Crimson Flowered’ – A stunning red flowered broad bean (usually white), with better resistance to black fly – Sow March to May for July harvest.
  4. French Beans ‘Gauk’ (Heritage variety) – A molted red/green – Sow April to June.
  5. French Beans ‘Minidor Yellow’ – Unusual yellow, slender and sweet – Sow April to June.
  6. Mange Tout ‘Golden Sweet’ – Highly Recommended unusual two-tone coloured flowers and heavy crop of bright yellow pea pods – Sow April to June.
  7. Onion – Senshyu Yellow – Japanese onion sets – Plant Oct to Nov for July Harvest.
  8. Radish ‘Pink Beauty’ – A stunning round bright pink and very mild – Sow Feb to Sept.
  9. Shallot ‘Grise’ – A strong intense flavour – Plant Oct to Nov for harvest June.

  11. Spinach ‘Reddy’ – Red vein and dark green leaves – Sow April to June.
  12. Spring Onion ‘Purplette’ – Organic purple bulb onions – Sow March to June
  13. Sweet Pepper ‘Tequila Sunrise’ – Orange pointed peppers – Sow April to June
  14. Tomato ‘Yellow Centiflor’ – Sprays of yellow pear tomatoes – Sow April to June.
